Presenting on Biml Tonight at North Texas SSUG!

If you are in the DFW area, come down to the North Texas SQL Server User Group tonight at the Microsoft building in Irving, Tx. The meet and greet starts at 6:00pm and the presentation follows at 6:30pm. I’ll be giving the following brand new, deep dive presentation.

Biml Baby Steps – Automation for Everyone

Biml is not just for BI Professionals. DBAs and Developers of all types can use it to dynamically generate code.

So, you may ask, “How do I get started?” In this special 2 hour interactive presentation, I’ll guide you through the process of creating your first BimlScripts. We’ll cover the basics of Biml syntax, C# scripting, the important role of metadata, and a lot more. As an added bonus, you’ll leave the presentation with BimlScripts you can adapt to use in your own environments using tools that you already have.

Free Stuff

I’m going to bring some Biml schwag with me, courtesy of my friends at Varigence, including shirts, miniature footballs, laptop stickers, etc.

Anyway, additional details about the meeting can be found here. Hope to see some of you there!

    Hello,

I attended this presentation and it was mentioned that the helper scripts will be posted here afterwards. Can you please point me in the right direction?

    Thanks
